About us

A small group of people who decided hunger should not be the norm.

How we started

Back in the spring of 2024, a few of us got together after seeing a photo of a child in Yemen holding an empty bowl. We could not look away. We are not a big charity. We are not backed by any government or corporation. We are just a local group of volunteers based out of Portland, Oregon who saw a problem and decided to do something about it.

We started small. A bake sale here, a neighborhood fundraiser there. Before long, people from all over started chipping in. What began as a handful of us packing rice and beans in a garage turned into something bigger than we ever imagined. Today we work with a network of local contacts on the ground in East Africa, South Asia, and Central America to get food directly into the hands of kids who need it most.

We do not have fancy offices. We do not take salaries. Every dollar that comes through this site goes straight to buying meals, clean water, and basic supplies. That is the whole point.

"We are not trying to change the whole world. We are just trying to make sure one less child goes to sleep hungry tonight."

Where your money goes

We do not have overhead. We do not pay for ads. We do not have a marketing team. When you give $5, that $5 buys food. Period. We work directly with small community kitchens and local family networks in the regions we serve. No middlemen, no red tape, no bureaucracy.

We post updates on our site whenever we can, and we are always happy to answer questions. If you ever want to know exactly where your gift went, just email us. We will tell you.
